A visa wrangle has handed Shamrock Rovers a place in the Junior section of next week's Milk Cup tournament. Chinese side Liaoning are not being permitted to travel to Northern Ireland as several sports stars have failed to return home after trips abroad.
"We have been told the players at Liaoning are upset at the news," said Milk Cup chairman Victor Leonard.
Shamrock Rovers will now play Hibs and County Londonderry on the opening two days of the competition.
The tournament begins on Monday 1 August and features 52 teams from around the world.
