Chris Morgan is in confident mood ahead of the Shelbourne tie |
Chris Morgan believes Glentoran can put an early end to Shelbourne's Champions League dream in their qualifier clash, which starts on Wednesday at the Oval. The Shels got through two preliminary rounds in the competition last term before going out to Spanish giants Deportivo La Coruna.
"They did superbly but do not seem to be as invincible as they were 12 months ago," said Morgan.
"We are not over confident but we know we are capable of beating them."
He added: "Had we drawn them last year we would be thinking they are some side and we would struggle.
"Linfield and Derry City have beaten them recently which certainly shows we have a chance."
There will be live commentary of both Champions League ties between Glentoran and Shelbourne on Radio Ulster M/W.
Michael McNamee introduces coverage of Wednesday's game from 6.55pm (kick-off 1900 BST) with commentary from Joel Taggart and Roy Walker.
