Jim Gardiner's Loughgall are up to eighth in the table |
Loughgall moved into the top half of the Carnegie Premier League thanks to a narrow win at Limavady Showgrounds. The goal came on 23 minutes when United defender Liam Cooley headed Darragh Peden's long throw into his own net under pressure from Alain Emerson.
Limavady threatened a quick equaliser but former Finn Harps and Omagh player Niall Cooke headed over.
In the second half Limavady drove forward but Loughgall keeper Marc Robinson made some good saves.
The result made it three wins out of four for Jim Gardiner's men.
