 Alain Emerson scored Loughgall's first goal |
A 79th minute goal from full-back Bryan Pentland gave Loughgall victory in this Boxing Day clash at Lakeview Park. The home side took the lead on eight minutes when Alain Emerson forced the ball over the line after Paul Rice parried Stevie Coulter's initial shot.
Armagh had a number of chances to equalise before Alan Murphy restored parity with a towering header past the goalkeeper from 12 yards out.
Pentland calmly slotted the ball past Rice to seal the victory for Loughgall.
After Emerson's opener, Anto Reilly, Murphy and David Hawthorne all had chances for Armagh.
