John Martin grabbed two goals for Lisburn Distillery |
Two goals from man of the match John Martin saw Lisburn Distillery take all the Carnegie Irish Premier League points at Ballyskeagh. Martin pounced in the 16th minute to open the scoring for the Whites and chalked up his brace near the end.
Conor Hagan and James Willis were also on the scoresheet for the Whites in the second half.
Midfielder Tommy McCallion pulled a goal back for Institute in the 69th minute in what was a brief fight back.
Martin, however, was the star of the show. His first strike came when he took possession from deep and scampered upfield to score.
The second half was better than the first and when Willis fed Hagan in the 57th minute, the ball fly into the net.
Willis then showed that he could do even better with another rasping shot that whistled into the net in the 68th minute.
Just after the restart, McCallion also got in the act with a 30-yard cracker.
But Martin ended the show with his second 16 minutes from the end when he poked in a fumble by the Institute goalkeeper.
