Paul Millar has taken over as manager of Newry City |
Paul Millar says he is determined to move Newry City in the right direction after succeeding Roy McCreadie as manager of the Carnegie Premier club. "I am delighted to get the job, I have been at the club for 18 months and it is a great opportunity," said Millar.
"The club has made great progress with the ground and training facilities and the board have impressive plans.
"They are supporting me in getting the players I want to bring to the club and in resigning those out of contract."
Former Glentoran and Linfield forward Millar was appointed manager on a permanent basis on Tuesday.
The 39-year-old had acted as coach to catetaker boss Raymond Byrne and then took over temporary charge of the team.
Newry won 3-0 away to Loughgall last Saturday and beat Bourneview YM 11-0 in the Mid-Ulster Cup on Tuesday night.
