United keeper William McFrederick spilled the ball and Guy had the simple task of tapping in from two yards out.

Early in the game, Loughgall's Paul Harbinson and Ballymena's Ciaran Donaghy both headed over the bar.

In the second half McFrederick denied Stevie Coulter and Johnny Topley and Marc Robinson saved comfortably from Vincent Sweeney.

Loughgall survived a late flurry from the visitors to secure their second successive home league win of the season.
