Eddie Patterson has been appointed as manager of Cliftonville after occupying the position of caretaker boss since the start of the season. Patterson took charge of first team affairs at Solitude after the sudden departure of Liam Beckett in July.
Former Reds player Tommy Breslin, recently a coach at Moyola Park, joins the club as Patterson's assistant.
"I am looking forward to the challenges ahead. The players have been giving me their full commitment," said Patterson.
"I am very happy to have been given the job and am also delighted that Tommy has agreed to come on board as my number two," he added.
Gerard Lawlor, Director of team affairs said: "Eddie has always been held in high regard at the club and has demonstrated his abilities over the years.
"I know the players have great respect for him and I look forward to working with him in his new role."
