Glentoran boss Roy Coyle heaped praise on his players after they booked a quarter-final tie with Coleraine after a fifth round replay win over Linfield. Coyle said that Tuesday's 3-0 Irish Cup victory at Windsor Park was by far the best performance this season.
''I knew that I would get a response and big reaction from the players after last Saturday,'' Coyle told BBC Sport.
''But I didn't expect it to be as good as it was. It's the best that we have played this season.''
Glentoran turned on the style from the first whistle and their success made up for Saturday's 1-1 draw at the Oval when they faced a 10-man Blues side for all but three minutes of the game.
Mark Glendinning, Tim McCann and Kevin Keegan scored the goals that took the Glens through.

''It is without doubt one of the best encounters we have had against Linfield who were a team that just didn't give up,'' said Coyle, whose side are the current cup champions ''I thought we beat them in every department. We had a game plan and we knew what we had to do and the players did the rest.
''The players are the ones that produce the action, we can only set things up. It's up to them to do the business which they did.
''From the first whistle I thought we were the hungrier team and our passing and movement off the ball was top drawer.''
