The application for Coleraine Football Club to be put into administration has been granted at the High Court. Monday's decision will allow the club, which is 1.2m in debt, to remain in business and play in the Irish Premier League for the 2005-06 season.
The Inland Revenue, owed 364,979, had tried to get the club wound up.
Mr Justice Weir, who had considered the matter over the weekend, said he hoped the decision would allow something useful to be done.
