All the excitement at Seaview came in the closing moments with Mark Dickson putting Larne ahead only for Colin Magill to equalise in injury-time. Larne goalkeeper Alex Spackman made first half saves to deny Magill and Chris Morrow.
Crusaders continued to boss possession in the second half but the game seemed set to end scoreless.
However, Mark Dickson put Larne ahead in the 88th minute only for Magill to level in injury-time.
The previously impeccable Spackman won't have fond memories of Crusaders' equaliser with Magill's header somehow evading his grasp.
The draw leaves Crusaders two points clear of bottom club Omagh Town.
