Marty Quinn's Coleraine have a friendly against Portstewart |
Coleraine fans should know on Tuesday whether their attempt to save the club from bankruptcy has been successful. Supporters produced pledges of money on Monday and the club's accountants were told to make an improved offer to the biggest creditors, the Inland Revenue.
It is a last-ditch attempt to save the club from a winding-up on Wednesday.
"The money is literally coming out the pockets of fans who are desperate to keep the club alive," said supporters representative Hunter McClelland.
The Inland Revenue is expected to give its decision on Tuesday.
Anxious fans were updated on the latest situation at a Showgrounds meeting on Monday night.
Tuesday night's friendly with neighbours Portstewart could be Coleraine's final game.
Such is the interest in the pre-season fixture, the game has been moved from Portstewart to the Coleraine Showgrounds where admission will be by donation.
