David Scullion was the Dungannon hero when his first-half strike gave his side the points over a gutsy Loughgall at Stangmore Park on Friday evening. Scullion struck with a left-footed shot in the 37th minute after he had waltzed through the defence from deep.
Loughgall striker Alain Emerson had a chance to level on half-time but he saw his free-kick flick the top of the bar.
Shane McCabe missed an opportunity to double Dungannon's lead but he scooped the ball over the bar from close range.
Deep into injury time Paul Harbinson almost salvaged a point for Loughgall when his free-kick was deflected just wide of the post.
