Stephen Kenny guided Bohemians to the 2003 Eircom League title |
Bohemians manager Stephen Kenny has been sacked after two and a half years in charge of the Dublin club. His dismissal came the day after they went out of the Uefa Cup, beaten 3-1 at home by Levadia Tallinn after a 0-0 draw away in the first leg.
Kenny said he was bitterly disappointed by the decision.
"We are third in the league at the moment and have a League Cup final to look forward. But these are things I will not be involved in," said Kenny.
Bohemians have endured poor home form this term, winning just two out of 11 at Dalymount Park, leaving them 10 points behind Premier Division pacesetters helbourne.
Kenny got the Bohs job at the end of 2002, after guiding Longford Town to promotion.
In 2003 they waltzed to the Eircom League title ahead of Shelbourne.
