Glen Crowe equalised but Bohemians lost 3-1 |
Bohemians bowed out of the Uefa Cup after being beaten 3-1 at home by Estonian side Levadia Tallinn. The Dubliners had gone into the game at their Dalymount Park ground with high hopes after a 0-0 draw in the away leg.
But they suffered a ninth minute setback in the return when Vitoldas Cepauskas headed the visitors in front.
Glen Crowe gave Stephen Kenny's team hope with an equaliser on 54 minutes but goals from Vladimir Tselnokov and Marius Dovydenas killed them off.
Crowe's goal was a spectacular overhead kick after a goalmouth scramble.
The Republic of Ireland international should have put Bohemians in front six minutes later but goalkeeper Artur Kotenko somehow kept his shot out after being wrong-footed by a deflection.
Levadia then scored with a classic counter attack as substitute Tselnokov raced clear before slipping the ball through goalkeeper Seamus Kelly's legs.
Bohemians were deflated and conceded a third goal with 13 minutes remaining when midfielder Dovydenas strode through unopposed before beating Kelly.
