Bohemians 3-1 Derry City Ciaran Martyn put Derry into the lead at Dalymount Park |
Derry City's recent mini-revival ended when they lost away to Bohemians at Dalymount Park on Tuesday night.
The Candystripes, buoyed by a win over Longford and draw with Shelbourne, were in front against Bohs thanks to a Ciaran Martyn goal on 21 minutes.
They hald that lead until just before half-time when Thomas Heary equalised for second-placed Bohemians.
Paul Keegan clinched victory for the Dublin club with goals in the 59th and 82nd minutes.
To make matters worse for Derry they had Peter Hutton sent-off immediately following Keegan's second goal.
Derry remain one from bottom of the Eircom Leaue Premier Division, a point behind Drogheda United.
In Tuesday's other Premier Division fixture, league leaders Bohemians came from two goals down to beat Shamrock Rovers 4-2 at Tolka Park.
