Marc McCann spent four seasons at Glenavon |
Portadown midfielder Marc McCann has moved from Glenavon to Mid-Ulster rivals Portadown.
The 22-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Shamrock Park club after declaring at the end of the season he wanted to leave Mourneview.
McCann, who had a release clause in his contract enabling him to move if Glenavon avoided relegation, said he needed a fresh start.
He played four seasons at Mourneview but felt he would have a better chance of winning honours if he moved to another club.
Portadown have been further boosted by the return of former Leeds United man Wesley Boyle.
