Rory Hamill scored both goals in Coleraine's 2-0 win |
Omagh Town 0-2 Coleraine
Rory Hamill scored both goals as Coleraine cemented their third-place in the Irish League Premier Division.
Cup finalists Coleraine had faltered in the league in recent weeks, winning just one of their last five, but they deserved their victory at St Julian's Road.
They took the lead in the seventh minute through Hamill's overhead free-kick.
That goal was all that separated the teams until Coleraine got a penalty three minutes from time when Seamus Fanthorpe brought down Sean Armstrong.
Hamill netted the penalty to keep the Bannsiders on course for a top three finish
At Taylor's Avenue, Gary Kennedy's 64th minute goal was enough to give Ards a 1-0 win over Glenavon.
Crusaders boosted their hopes of avoiding the relegation play-off as Colin Magill scored the only goal in their win over Cliftonville in the north Belfast derby.
That kept the Crues six points ahead of Newry Town who won 2-1 away to Lisburn Distillery.
Martin Reilly and Graham Lawlor were on target for Newry with Mark Holland getting Distillery's goal.
