Mikael Forsell says Craig Bellamy's return is a huge boost for Wales
Finland striker Mikael Forssell says his side's World Cup qualifier against Wales in Cardiff on Saturday will make or break his side's campaign.
Hannover 96's former Chelsea striker told BBC Sport Wales: "This game will make or break our whole qualification."
Finland are fourth in Group Four, one place behind Wales and with a game in hand on John Toshack's team.
"This is a very important game. We know that three points would be fantastic for us," said Forssell.
The 28-year-old also admitted as much as winning is crucial to him and his team-mates, ensuring Wales do not triumph is equally important.
He said: "It could always be better, but we've played three games and we beat Azerbaijan at home and had a good draw against Germany and probably should have won that one, but then [had] a bit of a disappointing defeat in Russia.
"But we just have to stay positive and we know now this is a very big game.
"Obviously every single game is important, but if we could get something out of this game that would boost our chances very much."
He went on: "It's massive and obviously Wales feels the same way because we are all fighting against Russia and Germany in many ways.
"We are trying to drop one of them from the equation, but we know Wales is a very strong team and probably Wales and Finland are the underdogs of this qualifying group.
"We are trying to beat one of the big ones and get into the World Cup. It's a difficult task, but the only thing you can do is believe in your own cause."
Forsell says the return of Craig Bellamy from injury is a huge boost for Wales.
He added: "I've watched him [Bellamy] for a very long time already in my career and I admire him very much because he is a great player."
Veteran Finnish striker Jari Litmanen, 38, backed up Forssell's view of how important a clash awaits on Saturday.
The ex-Liverpool star, who now plays for Finland's FC Lahti, said: "This is an important game for both teams. Those two favourites - Russia and Germany - are getting, of course, points from all matches.
That's why it's important that if you want to be near them you win this game."
