Midfielder Carl Robinson has won 51 caps for Wales
Midfielder Carl Robinson says Wales must focus on Saturday's World Cup qualifier with Finland and forget about next Wednesday's visit of Germany.
Wales are third in Group Four, level on six points with second-place Russia who have a game in hand.
Finland also have a game in hand, but are two points behind Wales in fourth.
"Saturday's game is the most important one," said Robinson, 32. "If we don't get the right result, the second game becomes irrelevant.
The Toronto midfielder added: "It's probably between us and Finland and maybe even Russia to try and get that second place.
"If Germany run away with it, which I think they might, then it is important for us to win this game on Saturday."
Robinson, capped 51 times by Wales, says the squad is focused on Saturday's game at the Millennium Stadium and have been boosted by the return of captain Craig Bellamy.
Toshack will not see Welsh best
"The boys are up for it," he said. "We met up today and trained today and it was lively.
"Watching Bellers today in training, he was lively and back to his normal self, arguing, moaning, running and scoring.
"He's great to have around, he lifts everyone around the camp and that's partly why he's captain because he sets the standard and he's an important figure for us."
Striker Bellamy, 29, is back in contention after completing a full training session on Tuesday, following a three week lay-off with a knee injury.
He made his comeback for Manchester City on Sunday as a substitute 25 minutes from the end of their 1-0 win over Sunderland.
West Ham centre-back James Collins is in full club training, but has not played since hurting a hamstring against Bolton in February.
A Wales squad spokesman said: ''They [Bellamy and Collins] are going to be looked at by the doctors and decisions will be taken in due course.''
It is likely boss John Toshack will want an indication of whether they will be ready for action by the middle of the week.
The Welsh camp appear quietly confident both will be ready.
Meanwhile Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez has called on Toshack to go easy on defender Ashley Williams.
The 24-year0old has played in all 40 Swans' Championship games this season and every Wales game since winning his first of 10 caps a year ago.
"If we can get Ashley a bit looked after, we will welcome that," said Martinez.
"He has played every single minute in the league. He is the only player [for the Swans] and in that respect, you can see the fatigue is playing a part in Ashley's work.
"But we understand the importance of the two games that the national team are facing."
Williams has played in the heart of Wales' defence continuously since making his debut in the 2-0 win over Luxembourg in a friendly last March.
Long-term injuries to the likes of Danny Gabbidon and James Collins helped Williams to win his first cap, while he was still at League Two side Stockport County.
