Robbie Keane's two goals gave the Republic of Ireland a dramatic win
Republic of Ireland skipper Robbie Keane admitted they might have been lucky to sneak a World Cup qualifier win over Georgia in Dublin.
A fortunate penalty award saw the Irish equalise and Keane then scored again to snatch a dramatic 2-1 win.
"I did not see the incident but if it was not a penalty, well sometimes you need a bit of luck in this game," said the Tottenham striker.
"We gave away a silly goal but came back and deserved to win the game."
Keane admitted he had been concerned when the Irish went behind in the opening minute after a mistake by defender Stephen Kelly.
"We did the same against Poland, gave away a goal in the first minute," added Keane.
"We have players who can score goals but we have to rectify these mistakes.
"It is something we can put right in the next game."
The result will boost hopes the Republic can qualify for a major finals for the first time since the 2002 World Cup, but Keane is taking it one step at a time.
He added: "We just concentrate on what we do. We believe we are well capable of qualifying but we need to try to win games, and try to win games convincingly.
"We will enjoy this. It has been a great start, long may that continue."
