Jason Koumas says Wales' future is looking good after their 3-0 win over Norway at the Racecourse. Carl Fletcher opened the scoring after 15 minutes with Koumas striking just after the hour and with a minute to go.
"I think it's as good a squad as we've had for years," he said. "I don't think people understand how good the players coming through are.
"The Under-21s are doing great at the moment, so the future's looking quite good."
New Tottenham signing Chris Gunter supplied the pass for Koumas's first goal and said the midfielder is a vital asset for Wales.
"He is so important for us," said Gunter.

"He gives us something different, especially when we've got a few players out and if he can be involved in the games then it's fantastic for us and he played really well tonight.
"We knew it would be a tough game and it was.
"Looking at the pitch before the game, we probably wouldn't have expected to give as good a performance as we did, but fair play to the boys for being brave and trying to play and I thought it was a fantastic result.
"I think once we got the first goal it gave us a bit of confidence and second half, I thought we were much the better team and fully deserved it."
Koumas's fellow goalscorer Fletcher said he was delighted to get his first Wales goal.
"It's been a long time coming after my 27th cap," he said.
"To get there, make the run and see it go in the back of the net is a very proud moment for me."
