Coyne is hoping to put himself in the shop window with Wales |
Wales goalkeeper Danny Coyne hopes the two forthcoming internationals will help boost his prospects of finding a new Championship club. Coyne is available on a free transfer after being released by Burnley, despite being Wales' number one choice.
"If I can feature against New Zealand (26 May) and Czech Republic (2 June) it would be fantastic," said Coyne, 33.
"I've got confidence in my own ability. I'll keep my options open but I want to stay in the Championship."
Burnley paid 25,000 for Coyne in July 2004, but a cruciate knee injury forced him to miss almost the entire 2005/06 season.
He returned to action in November last year and established himself as first choice at Turf Moor once again.

But after playing for Wales in March's Euro 2008 qualifiers against the Republic of Ireland and San Marino, Coyne spent the rest of the season on the Burnley bench after losing his place to Brian Jensen.
The lack of action naturally prompted Coyne to question his Burnley future, and so it came as little surprise, he says, when manager Steve Cotterill told him a new contract would not be offered.
"I'd had a few discussions with him over the past couple of weeks so it wasn't a shock when I was told I could leave," said Prestatyn-born Coyne, who has won 14 caps.
"When I came back after playing for Wales, the gaffer had changed the team around.
"But at least I know where I stand now and I've got a goal to aim for - it's a bit of an adventure because you don't know who you're going to be playing for next season.
"It's quite exciting really, so I'm looking forward to finding a new club and starting afresh.
"It gives you that extra bit of hunger again to get back playing and prove quite a few people wrong."
Coyne has already been linked with a move to Norwich City, who ended the season with loan signing Tony Warner between the sticks.
Cardiff City are also looking for a new goalkeeper after failing to agree a new contract with Scotland international Neil Alexander.
And Coyne added: "I'll move anywhere if the club is right for me. There's speculation about a few clubs, but there's nothing definite at the minute.
"I want to continue to play in the Championship but I'll wait and see what happens over the summer."
