Dean Shiels
Dean Shiels is one of four U21 players going on the US tour
Four stars from the Northern Ireland U21 team have been called up for the senior squad's tour of the United States later this month.

Hibs ace Dean Shiels, Linfield striker Peter Thompson, Nottingham Forest midfielder Sammy Clingan and Kyle Lafferty of Burnley make the trip.

"It shows the talent they have and what is ahead of them if they work hard at their game," said U21 boss Roy Millar.

Lawrie Sanchez's team will play Uruguay and Romania on the US Tour.

N Ireland start against the South Americans at the Giants Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday, 21 May.

The game against Romania is five days later at Soldier Field in Chicago.

Senior manager Sanchez was at Windsor Park on Wednesday night to see the U21 side ease past Liechtenstein in a European Championship qualifier.

Thompson and Shiels were on target in the 4-0 second leg win which completed an 8-1 aggregate success over the minnows.
