Derby teenager Lewin Nyatanga has been named in the Wales squad to face Paraguay on 1 March.
The 17-year-old defender was tipped to receive a call-up after being left out of the Under-21 squad.
If, as expected, Nyatanga makes his debut at the Millennium Stadium, he will become Wales' youngest ever player, beating Ryan Green.
Fellow youngsters Mark Jones, David Cotterill and Joe Ledley are also in John Toshack's squad of 25.
There is also a first call-up for 29-year-old Orient goalkeeper Glynn Garner, after his starring role in the League Two club's FA Cup run.

However, Swansea midfielder Owain Tudur Jones and striker Craig Davies miss out through injury.
"Lewin has broken into the Derby team this season, I have seen him a few times and he is certainly one for the future," said Wales manager John Toshack.
"It's been a bit difficult for him recently with the change of manager at Derby and he has been left out, but we have to give these youngsters a chance.
"We know these lads are not really ready yet, but we have to get them into the squad now so that they will be ready when the Euro 2008 qualifiers come around."
"Garner did very well in Orient's cup run. He saved a penalty against Fulham and was outstanding against Charlton."
Green, now with Hereford United, who made his senior Wales debut under Bobby Gould at the age of 17 years and 226 days, playing against Malta and Tunisia in 1998.
But Nyatanga is on course to beat that record by 31 days if he takes the field against the South Americans in the friendly match in Cardiff.
