 | NORTHERN IRELAND v WALES Kick-off: 1400 BST, Saturday, 8 October Venue: Windsor Park, Belfast Live on BBC TV, radio and this website |
Winger Keith Gillespie says Northern Ireland do not want an "anti-climax" against Wales on Saturday after the euphoria of beating England last month. "That was a fantastic night, with a lot of euphoria, but we must make sure that we are professional and prepare for this game," said Gillespie.
"We are playing with confidence and a win over Wales would give us a further boost and a chance of third place.
"We are facing players that we know so there will be a bit of extra rivalry."
Fellow winger Stuart Elliott said he was expecting another great atmosphere for this match at Windsor Park against another home nations team.
"I expect the supportes to get behind us, like they did against England, and hopefully we can give them the right result.
"We have already excelled ourselves in this group but a win in this game would give us a chance of finishing third, with one match to go in Austria on Wednesday.
"All the boys are on top of the world after beating England, and if we were to finish third that would be a great achievement," said the Hull City player.
