Spain coach Luis Aragones refused to comment on the racial taunting of the England players during their 1-0 friendly win at the Bernabeu. "My conscience is clear. I'm only interested in football and in this victory," Aragones said.
Spain's Xabi Alonso felt they were fully deserving of the victory.
"In the second half we tried to keep control of the game," he said. "We tried to move the ball quickly, switch the play and we always had control."
Alonso added: "We knew that England like to play with a lot of rhythm and like to be aggressive so that was no surprise."
Goalkeeper Iker Casillas was complimentary of Wayne Rooney, despite being barged into the advertising hoardings by the England striker, and Real Madrid team-mate David Beckham.
"He has got a bad temper but he's a very good player," Casillas said.
"David came over and advised me to concentrate on the game because it was best to leave Rooney in peace.
"But something like that due to a loss of temper can injure you. I was not expecting a push, and it is not like being kicked when the ball is still in play.
"I told Rooney a few things that should remain on the pitch," he added.
