Going with the Royal wedding theme, the Sun proclaims United as "HERRS TO THE THRONE".
"Giggs and Rooney leave United singing... WE'RE GOING TO WEMBLEY" says the Daily Mail as Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney put United on course for the 28 May final in London.
It's a similar story in the Times - "United on the steps of Wembley" the back-page headline.
United have "ONE FOOT IN THE FINAL" reports the Daily Star.
"As good as Platini!" - In his analysis for the Daily Mail, former Arsenal and England defender Martin Keown compares Wayne Rooney to France legend Michel Platini.
The Daily Mirror hails 37-year-old Giggs while also praising the performance of Schalke goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, 25, with the headline "THE OLD & THE NEU".
"Hernandez the predator makes Raul look his age" - more on the subject of 'old and new' in the Guardian.
And the Daily Express gets in on the act too - "GIGGS PROVES OLD BETTER THAN NEU".
Tony Cascarino is scathing of Schalke is his column for the Times. "Schalke 04? From what we saw last night, a change of name to Schalke 0-10 would be more appropriate." He says they were "absolutely battered", suggests the match was "like a training game" for United and picks out coach Ralf Rangnick for particular criticism. "I'm told they call [him] the 'Football Professor', but this match made him look more like the 'Nutty Professor'.
More plaudits for Neuer in the Daily Telegraph, which also identifies five lessons to learn ahead of the second leg and reserves special mention for "Fearless Rooney", who banished the memory of his sending off at the 2006 World Cup with a masterful display.
