Manchester City centre-back Joleon Lescott has revealed how he tried to get immediate revenge on Wayne Rooney after the Manchester United striker's stunning overhead kick won Saturday's derby - and failed. Just hours after the Old Trafford match, the England team-mates went head-to-head again - at computer game Fifa 2011 on the Xbox console. While there was no repeat of Rooney's spectacular strike, the forward did come out on top once again.

Former France coach Raymond Domenech has branded members of the national team as "foolhardy brats" after speaking out for the first time about the World Cup debacle.
