AC Milan have been told by LA Galaxy they will need to cough up �18m to sign former England skipper David Beckham. (News of the World)

Milan's vice-president Adriano Galliano said the club's first attempt to buy Beckham had been unsuccessful but was not giving up hope. (Sunday Telegraph)
