Arsenal and Manchester United will battle it out for the signature of �7m-rated Juventus midfielder Mauro Camoranesi when the transfer window opens in January. (News of the World)

The Gunners are also competing with Barcelona for the capture of �5m Argentina keeper Oscar Ustari, 20. (Star on Sunday)

And in what looks to be a busy January for Arsene Wenger, they are also trailing Gillingham's 20-year-old striker Matthew Jarvis, along with rivals Tottenham. (Sunday Express)

However, Spurs may prefer the more experienced option of former striker Teddy Sheringham, with him falling down the pecking order at West Ham. (People)

Charlton are lining up a swap deal for unsettled Birmingham striker Mikael Forssell, with Marcus Bent heading to St Andrew's. (News of the World)

Newcastle manager Glenn Roeder is keen to add to his strike force again in January, with Shola Ameobi facing hip surgery in the new year. (Sunday Mirror)

West Ham striker Dean Ashton is following in the footsteps - literally - of Wayne Rooney and David Beckham by using a surgical "air-cast" boot to aid his recovery from a broken ankle. (News of the World)

Leeds chairman Ken Bates has placed former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri at the top of his wanted list to succeed sacked boss Kevin Blackwell. (People)

And that might not be the only managerial change, with Manchester City apparently lining up Bolton boss Sam Allardyce to replace Stuart Pearce. (People)

AND FINALLY...

Arsenal striker Theo Walcott's father Don, mother Lynn and older brother Ashley, are all set to appear in the next Harry Potter film - The Order of the Phoenix. Theo himself was scheduled to also star, but had to pull out due to club and England under-21 commitments. (Sunday Times)
