Chelsea's new signing Ashley Cole made a surprise appearance on the club website's team photograph, which was taken in pre-season. His head was stuck on William Gallas' body and Robert Huth had completely disappeared. However, the old version was later reinstated. (Daily Mirror)

The rumour is that Arsenal's poor start to the season at their new ground is because a group of steelworkers, who were hired to construct the ground, placed a Tottenham shirt, scarf and some badges in a box and bricked it up somewhere in the Emirates Stadium. (Daily Mirror)
