Celtic's cult heroes

This vote is now closed.

Henrik Larsson has been voted Celtic's all-time cult hero by Football Focus viewers.

Larsson won with 64% of the vote, ahead of fellow Celtic favourites Jimmy Johnstone and Lubomir Moravcik.

JIMMY JOHNSTONE: 29%

For being sensational.
David Taylor

The Magnificent 7. Wee Jinky is widely accepted as the best Celtic player of all time. Nobody even tries arguing this point. The Lisbon Lion was one of the best wingers the world has ever seen. His skill and quick feet would excite any crowd. Genius, skilful, quick, and did I mention genius?
David Ennis

Chosen because he was such a star, so cheeky in his talent, he was able to twist and weave his way past defenders with ease. His nickname was "Jinky".
Jim Begg

Wee, cheeky, and as slippery as an eel on the park. Often, when he had been roasting a defender, the defender would clatter him. The other Celtic players would immediately shuttle the ball to Jimmy to take the defender on again, to inflict more pain! That was cheeky.
Eddie McCusker

Words cannot express how good this guy was.
Robert P Walker

For his wing wizardry and contribution to Jock Stein's legacy and era.
Noel Doran

HENRIK LARSSON: 64%

Because he was GOD, probably the best Bhoy ever :-).
Ryan

Legendary status with Celtic fans worldwide and was very loyal to the club.
Paraic Keenan

The man was praised as a Ghod (that h is intentional). A goalscorer, a goal maker and a model professional. He wasn't selfish, he always seemed to pop up in the right place at the right time and he played for the team, not for himself. Off the park, he kept his private life private and didn't seem to succumb to any prima donna ways, which is admirable in the current football culture. He's also the only person I've ever seen who has managed to reduce 60,000 grown brutes of men to tears, as he managed in his last competitive game at Parkhead.
David Ennis

Now the whole of Europe has seen what Celtic had for seven years.
Robert P Walker

Just for the smile he put on our faces every time he took to the pitch. Henrik was a superstar who let his football do the talking. He was an absolute professional and probably the most supported post-war Celt (bear in mind Celtic Park is host to nearly 60,000 every game) due to his ability in the box and out of it, creating goals or incredible chances for his fellow team mates. When Henrik turned down the chance of a move to Manchester United, it showed an undying commitment to Celtic Football Club and its world famous fans.
Gerry McGonagle

Simply a great servant and what a player - his nickname was the King of Kings. Says it all really.
Colm Doyle

LUBOMIR MORAVCIK: 7%

For being unbelievable.
David Taylor

Arrived at Celtic with all the fans asking "Who the hell is Lubo?". Famously scored a brace against Rangers in a 5-1 drubbing and then every Celtic fan knew who he was. This guy could score goals that where simply breathtaking.
Andy
