Andy Ritchie has been voted Oldham's all-time cult hero by Football Focus fans.
Ritchie won with 57% of the vote, ahead of fellow Oldham legends Roger Palmer and Rick Holden.
ANDY RITCHIE: 57%
An ex Man Utd and Leeds Utd player, the guy attained legendary status with his bald pate and uncompromising professionalism. The rumour is that he never grew any hair from being a baby and he always came of best against any defender I ever saw him play against. He must've been at least 40 when he scored a fantastic hat-trick against Wolves one Boxing Day as we thrashed them 4-1 at a freezing Boundary Park. The chant: "He's got no hair but we don't care, Andy, Andy Ritchie" is still sung at 'Ice Station Zebra' today but there was never anyone who gave more both as player and Manager than the wily old Stitch.
David Pollitt
Balding wizard of the dream team years. Almost God.
Simon Webster
Probably the best player I've ever seen at Boundary Park but 'Stitch' had that character that made him the Chaddy End's hero! He was one of those players that had that special something that increased the atmosphere when he appeared! He created a buzz, and gasps when he conjured some sublime piece of magic! Plus we had the memorable chant "He's got no hair but we don't care! Andy, Andy Ritchie!!"
Scott Claber
Always able to turn a game around, I remember seeing him go off for stitches in his head at half-time in a game, and come back on in the second half and score with his head!
Jonathan Holt
Knew you had a winner when Stitch was at his prime. We had nobody to step into his shoes when he retired. That's why we dropped two divisions.
Maurice Garnett
Because he is God, pure and simple.
Christopher Booth
He was a master for us in attack.
Dean Holmes
To vote for Andy Ritchie text RITCHIE to 81111.
ROGER PALMER: 36%
Yes he was our leading all time goalscorer, but Roger was far more than that! His relaxed approach to life always made us wonder if he would remember to turn up for matches! "Ooooh! Roger Palmer!!"
Scott Claber
The fans still chant his name in the stands and I know the fans would love for him to return to Boundary Park for the day!
Mark Armstrong
Not recognised nationally as a great player, but to us he was a hero. Long serving midfielder/forward, holds record for most goals scored in a Latics shirt.
Maurice Garnett
To vote for Roger Palmer text PALMER to 81111.
RICK HOLDEN: 7%
Rick Holden was also a fans favourite in the 90s. He began wearing a trilby hat which became his trademark! His wing wizardry also endeared him to the Latics faithful!
Scott Claber
Cheeky chappie who could cross a ball and make it land on a sixpence, I recall the occasion when he took a throw-in against the back of the opposing full back and crossed for a goal! Also 5.9 for his famous swallow dives!
Jonathan Holt
The slowest winger in the world, but at the same time a marvellous winger too. Tends to dress like Crocodile Dundee these days.
Simon Power
To vote for Rick Holden text HOLDEN to 81111.
