Dover boss Martin Hayes says his side have a good chance of continuing their FA Cup run after being drawn at home to Brentford or Aldershot in round two.

Athletic, who play in Blue Square Bet South, beat League Two side Gillingham 2-0 at Priestfield in the first round on Saturday.

"It's a great feeling. The more you think about it you can't get your head around it," Hayes told BBC Radio Kent.

"Brentford and Aldershot are both good sides, but we've still got a chance."

Hayes, who watched the second round draw in a local shop, had to wait for the penultimate tie before learning of Athletic's opponents.

He added: "Being one of the last teams out of the hat and seeing clubs like Darlington and Carlisle still there - I was thinking that it's a long way to Darlington, so when we came out first I was happy.

"But we're just so pleased so whoever and where ever we got it was going to be fine. It's just great to be in the second round.

"We'll see whether the television companies like the idea of it. It could be a special night at Dover."
