Nuneaton Town's Justin Marsden tops FA Cup poll

Nuneaton Town

Nuneaton Town's Justin Marsden has been crowned FA Cup player of the round following his two goals against Coleshill Town earlier this month.

The midfielder's brace in the 6-0 win in the third qualifying round saw him top the vote.

Boro face a trip to Workington on Saturday as they look to book their place in the first round.

Manager Kevin Wilkin said: "He can make it better by doing the same and help get us into the next round."

Earlier this week Marsden and team-mate Kyle Storer were part of an FA Representative XI that took on Hallam to celebrate the Sheffield side's 150th anniversary.

Wilkin added: "The boys did good. It is an honour to be selected for any representative side, but to get there and see your England shirt on the hook in the changing room must be something else.

"Both of them have been rewarded for their hard work, but this is what we are about as a club."
