Meanwhile Ryman Division One outfit Whitehawk won 6-2 away to Burnham.

Elsewhere there were defeats for Bognor Regis Town and Burgess Hill Town, who lost to to Eastleigh and the Met Police respectively.

Lewes manager Steve Ibbitson told BBC Sussex: "I think we thoroughly deserved the 2-0 win although we did stop for periods in the second half.

"We had a few chances, played well and had a few chances but we stopped moving the ball in the second half.

"It was a good result and we're delighted to be in the hat come Monday."
