Chesterfield's abandoned FA Cup second round tie with Droylsden could now be played on 23 December.
The Spireites were 2-0 up when the second replay was abandoned due to floodlight failure on Tuesday.
The FA has now set a provisional date - subject to test on Droylsden's electrical systems.
It will be the fourth attempt to complete a tie previously abandoned due to fog - a subsequent 2-2 draw ended with a controversial goal.
In the first replay, Chesterfield's Jack Lester lobbed the keeper from a throw-in after Droylsden had put the ball out of play.
The home side then allowed Steve Halford to walk unchallenged into their half to tap the ball in for 2-2.
