Cup exit frustrates Clarets boss

Jeff King
Jeff King watched his side lose for only the second time this season

Chelmsford City manager Jeff King was left frustrated by his side's FA Cup defeat by Bury Town.

The Blue Square South team went down 2-1 to the Southern League club in Saturday's second qualifying round.

King told BBC Essex: "That happens in football - I've been on the other side where you've won against teams you shouldn't have done.

"But it's frustrating and I'd like to apologise to the supporters on behalf of the players and my staff."

"But we live on, this is only the second game we've lost this season, so we've got to just concentrate on the league again and keep going that way," he added.

Despite his disappointment, King praised the efforts of his Suffolk opponents.

"Let's not take anything away from them, they did their job and I wish them well.

"They seem very nice people and good luck to them, but it's frustrating to say the least."
