Brighton will visit Torquay in the second round of the FA Cup after beating League One rivals Cheltenham. The Seagulls went ahead after 18 minutes of the first-round replay, as Adam El-Abd rose highest to thump home Dean Cox's outswinging corner.
Steven Gillespie equalised with a neat finish but Dean Hammond's penalty after Nicky Forster was fouled put the home side ahead again after 67 minutes.
The visitors' Craig Reid had an effort ruled offside three minutes from time.
