Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari was unimpressed despite their 4-0 Champions League victory over Bordeaux.
He said: "We made many mistakes in the second half. We did not control the game enough, we let them have too much of the ball. We did not play very well.
"We could be punished by other teams who get in front of goal faster and with quality. That is dangerous for us.
"When you are winning 2-0 at half-time you need to work the ball and control the game. You don't need to win 5-0."
The Brazilian coach was taking charge of his first Champions League match and spent much of it gesticulating wildly from the dugout.
While headers from Frank Lampard and Joe Cole had put Chelsea well in control in the first half, Scolari was disappointed his side did not show more discipline after the break.
Chelsea only added to their goals tally eight minutes from time when Florent Malouda drove home and Nicolas Anelka tapped in a fourth in injury time.
