Alain Perrin's Lyon have lost their opening two Group E games |
Lyon coach Alain Perrin described his side's 3-0 Champions League home defeat by Rangers as a nightmare for the French league leaders. "That's football," said the former Portsmouth boss. "It's sometimes hard to explain.
"You have to put your chances away. We did what we planned to do on the wings, created several chances and hit the woodwork a few times.
"But we lost a few battles in our area and conceded some goals as a result."
Perrin still believes his side can recover from two straight defeats and qualify from Group E.
"There is clearly a lot of disappointment in the dressing-room, but we must aim to get over this result fast," he said.
"That's the role of the backroom staff - to get the players over this nightmare scenario."
