Benfica coach Fernando Santos expressed confidence that his team would win the return game against Celtic in Champions League Group F in a fortnight. "We will win in Lisbon - definitely," said Santos after the 3-0 defeat to the Scots in Glasgow.
"We had a lot of chances to score and so did Celtic.
"Obviously it was an important game and we wanted to win, but Celtic have great players and, after their second goal, it became more difficult."
Santos thought he could not have asked more from his players.
However, he stressed that they needed to win their remaining three games to qualify from the group.
Benfica sit bottom along with Copenhagen on one point, five points behind Celtic and eight adrift of Manchester United.
