David Beckham was sent off for the third time this season during Real Madrid's 1-0 win over Getafe. The midfielder was penalised for a rash challenge on striker Riki on 56 minutes and he exchanged angry words with the Getafe management as he stormed off.
Real boss Wanderley Luxemburgo said: "I think Beckham is having a bad time at the moment. He reacted mistakenly.
"But to suggest he was seeking a red card is another matter. Perhaps he is trying to do things the wrong way."
The dismissal overshadowed a much-needed win for Real, who had Ronaldo to thank for their solitary goal.
Earlier this season, Beckham was dismissed for England against Austria and sent off for Real against Valencia for dissent, although it was later rescinded.
