Linfield veteran Glenn Ferguson says that the Blues were worthy of their 1-1 draw in a Uefa second qualifying, first leg tie against Halmstad BK in Sweden. "To be honest I think we are a bit disappointed that we didn't come away with a win," said Ferguson.
"We had a shot cleared off the line, hit the post and also had a couple of half chances.
"But we got the away goal that was all-important. Hopefully we can finish the job at Windsor Park."
Ferguson thought that with so many chances going astray it was not going to be Linfield's night.
"We might have thought that," he said. "But we just kept plugging away hoping that the ball would break for us.
"I was certainly disappointed to see my shot cleared off the line, but it all turned it right when I slipped the ball through to big Oran Kearney for the goal.
"All credit to him. He made a great run, and didn't panic and stuck into the corner of the net."
