Figo could be sacrificed following Beckham's transfer |
Inter Milan have singled out Real Madrid's Luis Figo as a possible transfer target in the wake of David Beckham's 24.5m move to the Bernabeu. Beckham's transfer introduces another player to Real's already crowded midfield and the club could be tempted to cash in on the 30-year-old Figo following Inter's interest.
"We are not disappointed by Beckham going to Real Madrid," said Moretti.
"Beckham interested us like other players, but he was not our priority.
"We know that this can happen when a top player is put on the market - there are going to be several teams interested.
"In this case, Real Madrid have made the transfer and there is nothing we can do.
"Figo is older than Beckham, but he is among the players that we are looking at.
"There is a still a long time before the transfer window closes and we think we can do something (in general)."
