 | ITALY 1-1 SWEDEN |
Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic admitted his audacious back-heel flick, which earned his side a point against Italy, was fortunate. "I scored a lucky goal, but it was also an incredible goal," he said. "The most beautiful and important goal, especially at a European Championship.
"The ball was coming in the air and we had practised one touch in front of goal but I was lucky."
Fellow forward Henrik Larsson added: "We are very pleased with the draw."
Larsson believes Sweden were worth the draw after their late pressure paid off.
"We are happy we got this point and it was a beautiful goal - Zlatan deserved it, he is a great player," he added.
"They are a very skilful Italian side but we were able to put them under pressure in the second half and were able to get the equaliser."
Coach Lars Lagerback said "I would agree that Italy played wonderful football in the first half, they were confident and they created lots of problems for us.
"But I was confident that we could get an equaliser because in the second half things changed.
"Overall, though, I think we were lucky to draw the game."
