Patrick Kluivert hit the big time with Dutch giants Ajax as a teenager. He attracted plenty of interest after scoring the only goal of the European Cup final against AC Milan in 1995.
It was the beaten Italian side who clinched his signature, but he never settled and a more productive move to Barcelona followed.
Kluivert boasts an impressive scoring record for his country, averaging a goal every two games.
He did not appear comfortable when asked to play behind Ruud van Nistelrooy in the run-up to Euro 2004.
But Kluivert can still be a potent force, as a goalscorer in his own right or setting up opportunities for team-mates.
Did you know? He was named by Fifa as one of the world's 125 greatest living footballers in 2004.
