Trezeguet had been linked with a move to Chelsea and Barcelona |
France international David Trezeguet has signed a new four-year contract with Italian club Juventus. Trezeguet's salary has been increased after he threatened to leave unless his wage was brought into line with the club's leading players.
"I am happy that I am staying and that we sorted the situation out," said the 26-year-old.
The striker, whose current contract ran out at the end of next season, joined Juventus from Monaco four years ago.
New boss Fabio Capello is expected to use Trezeguet and Alessandro del Piero as his first-choice partnership up front.
