After experiencing three seasons of Champions League football with Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev, Georgi Peev is one of the few Bulgarian players already tested against Europe's elite. Although he wears the number 11 shirt for Kiev, he is often employed as an attacking right-back.
Bulgaria coach Plamen Markov prefers to have Peev on the wing but has experimented with using the player at full-back and in central midfield.
Peev began his career with Lokomotiv Sofia before moving to Kiev in July 2001.
After impressing for the Bulgarian Under-21 side, he was fast-tracked into the senior side and has not looked back.
Comfortable on the ball with a good turn of pace, Peev gives Bulgaria natural width on the right flank.
